Hi from Gary - Austin, TX USA

Postby GaryS » Wed Dec 07, 2011 6:01 pm

Hey folks. Gary here.

Figured I would introduce myself here so it would be easier to meet up in BKK on the way to PNH. Never been to SE Asia at all, so this should be interesting. I am a tech guy - computers, electronics, mechanical etc. I like to travel but clearly not as much as Dave and Dean.

Looking forward to meeting some Aussies too. I have been kicking around the notion of moving to Oz - convince me :)

This is what I look like when I am geared up on the bike, so if you see me wandering at the airport - give me a holler:

well crud - looks like google's image server is hosed. will fix later.

See you there.

I am in again. About 85% sure. There are logistics to work out.

I have been homeless by choice for a few months now, and am itching to have a home base again. And a job

I am headed to Vegas tonight (supposedly, if this flight delay ever lifts) where my RV and motorcycle and GF are. Might have to drop by Kingman to visit Raven (if he is there).

I am going to have to work with whomever my new employer is to make sure I have enough vacation time to get to Cambo this year, but it is a priority for me :D

Since everybody seems to be posting pics, this is the not-necessarily-from-Austin version of me:

Looking forward to it. I have to go back if only to buy more T-shirts and doxycycline. Did you know that is the same thing they give dogs for kennel cough? Saved me some money at the vet this year :)

How many Aussies are going to make it this year??

Raven is in Tucson, I'm in Aurora, IL at the moment. Won't be back in Kingman for a couple weeks yet.

Looking forward to BKK as well. Logistics still up in the air but we'll get it figured out.
